Ferocious Characters: Part 3 – Maurice

Sometimes a film will feature a character that lingers in our minds long after we have watched them. In certain cases, lines of dialogue and even facial expressions will repeat over and over, conspiring to keep us awake into the small hours.

The new independent movie Ferocious strives to do just that. It tells the story of “Leigh Parrish”, a successful actress whose life is turned upside down when she is forced to face a past she had hoped to leave far behind. “Leigh” is just one of the characters Robert Cuffley has created who are sure to make a big impact when the movie hits screens in The Fall 2012.

Today’s expose is on “Maurice”, a character movie fans will be compelled to watch, thanks to the performance of Kim Coates

Maurice:

Maurice is the co-owner of Shakers, a rundown night club once popular years ago and now barely afloat. Maurice chooses not to see this, confident that things will eventually turn around.

Seedy and mean-spirited, Maurice is able to stay afloat by finding creative, often illegal ways to solve problems. Each year sees him sink to new depths to keep his head just above water.
